Straight A's were everyone's goals throughout college, but I learned that if I didn't recieve straight A's it didn't make me dumb. I just have to use my r esources, that was probably one of the biggest causes of my grades. We have tutors at Lewis and I didn't take advantage of that at all. I knew I needed help but I was to shy/ embarassed to ask for any.

Cw1 Esmeralda Roman The Start of College Up to the very first day I thought college was going to be breeze! Year after year, I have had all my teachers tell me that the grade or year I am currently in is nothing compared to the grade I will be proceeding to. Every teacher I had said that the next year would be even more difficult, but it was never an issue to me. It was exactly the same! The only difference was that we would go into more depth of the curriculum we had learn the year before. Now, the transition from high school to college has been mind blowing! Reflection

When I realized English was a required course for college, even though English was not my major I was petrified! I have never recieved a bad  grade in any previous englsih classes , but lets just say English was not my cup of tea. I used to wonder what kind of person would want to read a billion essays a day?! I just didn't get the point of basically being forced to write about multiple topics that yI was never intrested in. I always like my English teachers as a person, but it's the class itself that simply doesn't interest me. I was never the student that would get up and speak first, I always assumed my papers were just average and it was nothing better than the rest. This semester I learned to actually enjoy English class! First of all Dr. Kyburz has honestly been one of the best teachers I've had.
