The Start of College

Up to the very first day I thought college was going to be breeze! Year after year, I have had all my teachers tell me that the grade or year I am currently in is nothing compared to the grade I will be proceeding to. Every teacher I had said that the next year would be even more difficult, but it was never an issue to me. It was exactly the same! The only difference was that we would go into more depth of the curriculum we had learn the year before.

Now, the transition from high school to college has been mind blowing! I literally go home everyday with a headache. I went into classes thinking I had it ALL figured out.

Boy, I was wrong! I was clueless! You would think finding your way around ONE building would be maybe just a tiny bit difficult, but definitely managable. Well, not for me. To sort of give you an idea, I walked three laps around the basement of the Science building.. and the classrom I was looking for wasn't even on that floor! Point is, for me college has been one of the hardest obstacles (school-wise) I have had to face. I am onto the second week now and it seems to be riding a lot smoother, so there is hope.

  1. Hi!
I can definitely relate to your feelings towards college. Like you, school has never really been an issue for me. I would transition from grade to grade with little to no problems, but college really did take me by surprise. It has been a hard transition, but things are looking better. I have hope that we'll both find our way through college as we go through this first semester, and that it'll get a little less overwhelming.

  2. I promise that it gets easier! The first week is always the worst because you feel that you have no clue where you are going and you barely know anyone. I totally relate to you taking three laps around the science building...been there, done that. Keep your head up! Get involved and remember that you can only do the best that you can do if you put in all of your effort. P.S. I love your Dwight Schrute picture.
